Yep, the launch date is getting close, and I admit, it's kind of exciting to call myself an author, albeit a first timer. Hey, we all have to get started somewhere. But as exhilarating as that is, it also brings forth a flood of questions. How do I spread the word about my new masterpiece? How can I spark excitement among readers? How can I make this journey unforgettable? Well, based on hundreds of YouTube videos, reading tons of Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) posts, and most importantly, binge streaming Younger on Netflix, I've concluded a blog with a Goodreads Book Giveaway is one good way to get the word out. Thank you, Darren Star.
This is where I'm now supposed to insert a bunch of HTML code from the Goodreads widget. Did it work? Tap the Enter Giveaway button and let me know. However, button pusher beware, if you're not part of the Kindle ecosystem, it may not work, or worse, you may get asked to join the Kindle community. Just know, the paperback will be available April 1, 2025, for those of you that are touchy, feely, and still like to hold things in your hand - while you're reading.
For those of you that personally know me, buy the paperback, spread the word, and I promise, the next time we hook up, I'll buy you a bevvy and scribble something on the inside cover about our past. Yes, you get to approve it first.
For those I've never met, I wish I could stop by and thank each and every one personally for the support, but unless I see you at the local library book event, I can only offer the Goodreads Book Giveaway. Between March 1 - 30, Goodreads is giving away 100 Amazon Kindle copies of Boogie Board Man. Good luck!
Boogie Board Man is the unique story of Tom Morey, the man who revolutionized the surfing world with the creation of the boogie board. I was looking for a screenplay project, and Tom was wishing to unleash a lifetime of events leading up to, and beyond, his creation. Our collaborative project spanned several months and eight interview sessions, culminating with both a screenplay, "Shaping Tom Morey", and this book.
If you enjoy pop culture, surf history, and boogie boarding, you'll enjoy Boogie Board Man!
